Ingredients

  • 1 pint Heavy Cream
  • ½ cup Butter French or European Butter Works Best
  • 2 TBSP Cream Cheese
  • 1 ½ cups Fresh Parmesan Cheese I grate my own cheese for the best flavor
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions

  • The key to a good Alfredo sauce is ingredients and time. I use European style stick butter and grate my own Parmesan cheese. I have purchased the pre-grated cheese out of the grocers cheese section but try to stay away from brands like Kraft because of the additives.
  • In a saucepan over low/medium heat combine heavy cream, butter and cream cheese. Stir constantly until butter and cream cheese have melted.
  • Slowly start adding the Parmesan cheese in while continuously stirring. I usually add the cheese in thirds.
  • After you have added the last of the parmesan cheese, continue stirring while adding the garlic power, salt and pepper.
  • Continue stirring for 5-10 minutes until desired consistency is met. To thicken the sauce add some more parmesan cheese.
  • Serve over your favorite pasta. We like Fettuccini or Penne pasta. You can also add some steamed broccoli or grilled chicken with your dish.
