Grandnonnies Apple Cake

Ingredients
  

Apple Cake

  • 1 stick Margarine (softened)
  • 1 cup White Suger
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 3 large Granny Smith Apples (about 3 cups) cut into small chunks

Topping

  • ½ cup White Sugar
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 TBSP Flour
  • ½ stick Margerine
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions
 

Apple Cake

  • Preheat oven to 350
  • Mix softened margarine, sugar, egg, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cut apples. Put into a greased and floured square pan.
  • Bake for 40 minutes

Topping

  • Add white sugar, brown sugar, flour, margarine, cinnamon, and water into a sauce pan. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Boil until thick and clean.

Complete

  • Using a toothpick poke holes into the top of the baked apple cake.
  • Pour topping onto cake. Let sit.
