Grandnonnies Apple Cake
Ingredients
Apple Cake
- 1 stick Margarine (softened)
- 1 cup White Suger
- 1 egg
- 1 cup Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 dash Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 3 large Granny Smith Apples (about 3 cups) cut into small chunks
Topping
- ½ cup White Sugar
- ½ cup Brown Sugar
- 2 TBSP Flour
- ½ stick Margerine
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1 cup Water
Instructions
Apple Cake
- Preheat oven to 350
- Mix softened margarine, sugar, egg, flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cut apples. Put into a greased and floured square pan.
- Bake for 40 minutes
Topping
- Add white sugar, brown sugar, flour, margarine, cinnamon, and water into a sauce pan. Bring to boil stirring constantly. Boil until thick and clean.
Complete
- Using a toothpick poke holes into the top of the baked apple cake.
- Pour topping onto cake. Let sit.
